DownTown Mystic returns with Maybe Love’s A Crime, a roots-rock single that shifts direction while staying grounded in classic American songwriting. The track pairs vintage guitar character with a crisp, contemporary feel, creating an easy bridge between old-school rock and modern production. A standout rhythm section, featuring Steve Holley and Paul Page, gives the song a loose, swinging pulse, while Jeff Levine’s piano adds extra color in the TV mix. Led by Robert Allen, the project continues its run of acclaimed 2026 releases. With strong melodies, seasoned musicianship, and unmistakable rock’n’roll spirit, this latest offering feels both familiar and refreshingly unexpected.
