SonicFluxx takes a darker, more volatile direction with Idol, a charged electro-pop track built for the club. Industrial-inspired percussion, menacing bass and pulsing synths create an intense backdrop for his dramatic, sharply delivered vocals. Lyrically, the song examines obsession, power and the perilous space between devotion and destruction, giving its dancefloor drive an unsettling emotional edge. There is also a theatrical streak running through the production, blending alternative pop with horror-tinged atmosphere and avant-garde sensibilities. Drawing from choir roots and ’90s pop music, SonicFluxx channels vulnerability into something commanding and expansive. Idol feels like a bold new chapter, embracing sonic excess without sacrificing emotional weight or personality.
