Bartok’s single, Mistral, arrives as an ambitious fusion of progressive house and cinematic world-building, with its visual identity shaped entirely by the artist. Developed across four years, the accompanying video transforms London-inspired details into a fictional digital city rendered through Unity. A virtual incarnation of Bartok takes center stage, alongside his distinctive bat alter ego, while a recreation of his studio adds a personal touch. Drawing on his game-development background, Bartok handled environments, animation, cameras, lighting and post-production himself. The result feels less like a conventional dance clip and more like an interactive film, with the accompanying behind-the-scenes feature revealing how the elaborate universe came together.
