Inspired by two years of living with long COVID and chronic fatigue, the song explores feeling most alive during nighttime dreams, giving its haunting mood genuine emotional weight. Producer Micah Prescott, behind the instrumental project Electric Mallet, builds the arrangement around Kaizen’s original vocal demo, blending jazz-inspired instrumentation with lo-fi sensibilities.
