Hamish’s single, Singing In My Soul, carries the warmth of a song shaped by travel, friendship, and spontaneous collaboration. Originally released on his 1999 debut album Picture In My Bag, produced by Les Penning, the track emerged from sessions inside the weathered surroundings of Hatfield Court in Herefordshire. Local musicians added character to Hamish’s direct guitar and vocal performance, giving the recording an unpolished, intimate quality. Its journey even reached New Zealand, where it found an audience on the folk charts and later appeared on television. Decades on, its continued presence at weddings and events speaks to a melody that remains heartfelt, communal, and genuinely memorable.
