Riigs’ Ferrox EP dives deep into the more experimental corners of club music, combining rugged bass pressure with intricate, unpredictable rhythms. Released through Xternal Domain, the record bridges techno and UK bass traditions without settling comfortably into either. Dubstep weight, footwork-inspired movement and drum and bass energy collide with sparse arrangements, fractured percussion and immersive textures. Each track feels engineered for a powerful sound system, yet there is enough atmosphere and subtle detail to reward closer listening. Riigs brings more than twenty years of underground experience to this release, shaping a collection that feels physical, adventurous and deliberately elusive. Ferrox is a compelling step further into his exploratory sound.
