Deflecting Ghosts turn inward and strike hard with Narcissist, a fierce alternative metal track about breaking free from manipulation and emotional control. Heavy guitars, pounding drums, and shadowy textures create an imposing backdrop, while the vocals shift from simmering restraint to explosive intensity. The song captures the clarity that arrives when toxic behavior is finally recognized and its influence rejected. Melodic elements add emotional depth without softening the band’s darker edge. Mixed and mastered by Bulletride Productions, the track signals continued growth for the Kansas trio. With its raw delivery and cathartic message, Narcissist feels built for listeners confronting painful experiences and choosing resilience.
